I had my first phone bank experience with Adopt-A-State yesterday, and thought I would share the experience since some other members have expressed interest in volunteering. I have adopted North Carolina, and had a Zoom meeting training, and then given a calling list through Action ID (MiniVAN). The calling list I was given was mostly attorneys that had volunteered in past campaigns, and the script was to try to recruit volunteers to help protect the vote either by being an observer at the election places, or to staff phone lines that would help answer legal questions. Everyone was super friendly and appreciative! (Continuing the experience of feeling hopeful!) The focus right now is to recruit volunteers and to build the organization that will be needed in the coming months. Last night was the 2nd general training, and there will be two more one-hour sessions on the next two Thursdays at 5 pm our time. If you are interested, visit
