We as activists have conversations about optimism/pessimism - hope/despair. Whatever the case, I think it is important that we look observable/measurable reality in the eye. There are 17 environmental scientists from around the world who are upping the ante on how alarmed we should be in a recent summary of their research. I think their peer-reviewed paper is important in terms of alerting us to what the reality of climate change and environmental destruction is. I found out about the paper from reading the CCL Community Forum

Quite the article, John! Thanks for sharing it. We could all stand to take that “cold shower” described in the article. As the authors state, it’s not “what” to do now, but “how” to do it. Huge job ahead.
