I would like to initiate a conversation about why this website is not being used to initiate conversations. I would welcome others posting articles of interest, or sharing ideas, and don’t understand why it is not being utilized. Maybe we could use some meeting time to demo how to use the forum, and encourage members to contribute.

For myself, I'm already overwhelmed. I can't take in one more single thing. I can barely manage emails & FB.
The beauty of the forum is that the conversation happens here. I think if we use meeting time it should be to demo how to use it. I don’t think it’s understood how it works. BTW, I’m not getting notifications of postings unless there’s a comment. Might be going into my junk mail.
Here's an idea - we should have a regular report at CCL meetings summarizing the topics discussed and points of view put forward in the forum - we could have a similar summary from FB. Right now the forum is outside some folks trodden paths - if they knew more about what's going on, they might join in. There is a critical mass point I think. We just need to lead those horses to it. (Am I mixing metaphors? 🙄)
I agree with whats been said here as I think the website is an excellent resource.

I think that twitter deserves a serious look. I've gotten somewhat active on it since GRG. I regularly see posts from other local CCL groups. The more active anyone is on twitter, the more widespread the following.
Thanks for all your feedback! Helps me with the hope/keep the faith part of this. Good ideas!
Good idea! Ray said that Twitter or Facebook would work for this too. He also said that a blog on the homepage would be the most accessible way but that we would have to monitor it constantly and neither of us wants to do that! 🤣🤣
I’d recommend a “social media workshop” meeting or part of a meeting. Maybe just some emphasis and instructions on the forum will get people going. I‘m also still willing to initiate Twitter, but not without some policy advice/guidelines from the group.
I’m in agreement. Not to be too pessimistic, but you can only lead a horse to water…
I can do a demo at a meeting, or you could for that matter, Linda. You’re definitely the most active out here.
I'm in full agreement with your concern Linda. Getting people to change their practices is one of the most difficult things to accomplish. The point you make can also be made regarding our FB and GRG twitter. I like your idea about bringing it up at a meeting. We could have a presentation of sorts and then do breakouts to discuss why we are or aren't active with these resources.
