I was in a webinar where the website drilled news was suggested and in particular this article: https://www.drillednews.com/post/the-climate-covid-19-policy-tracker Climate Rules being Rolled back during the Covid-19 pandemic. There's a very cool interactive map included that allows you to see some specific policy changes, mostly in the US, but could potentially allow us to react by adding public comment. I am thinking of writing to presidential candidate Joe Biden to suggest he develop his cabinet now and choose someone for the department of interior that can speak now to these things. Same for EPA, for Department of Education, and roll these folks out to speak about what they intend to do from day 1. I think we need answers and plans, and not just have to wait and hope. Probably won't go anywhere but it's my attempt at fluttering my butterfly wings to encourage big change down the line. Constantly protesting current actions is no longer enough and feels like hitting my head against the wall.

Thanks for sharing this, Elly. As I read about this stuff, it makes me actually sick to my stomach! This is certainly worthy of discussion. Would more individual letters be effective at adding additional flutter? Or would a letter from the CCL Tacoma collective make sense too. Who knows? The head banging hurts.
Thomas Friedman of the NYT has been pushing Biden to choose his cabinet now with key people to lay the groundwork for re-instituting all the rollbacks that have happened since 2016. More voices can only help!
